Police routinely use UV light to detect, identify and return stolen property that has been marked with UV based property marking technology also for the identification of UV based GREASES & GELS for the identification of criminals involved in metal theft. Valuables can be discretely marked with this type of technology and are invisible to the naked eye and is only revealed when illuminated with UV light.
In case of burglary, the owner of a recovered, stolen item which has been marked in this way can be traced simply by using an ultraviolet lamp/torch to identify the mark and a forensic science service to establish the unique code, this code registered to a specific post code address.
Chain Reaction DNA encumbers this same type of forensic trace technology but the forensic compound of Chain Reaction DNA is registered to a specific door at a post code address.
We do not asset mark we perpetrator mark!
Here are a number of hand held UV torches used to identify ours and other forensic markers.
